For her first public art collection Isabella has focused on the paradoxical themes of strength and softness. She uses flora as a symbol for a resilient softness while the bold, contrasting colours add an opposing power, yet elegance. A force to be reckoned with....

About the Art
"Like humans, flowers are more complex than their face value. They are both soft and strong, beautiful and resilient. When you look at the flowers in the spring they have survived the harshest conditions of the winter yet they still grow into their unapologetically majestic forms. So we have evidence from the natural world that strength can come in the softest and most beautiful form. There is no need for aggression or fear to be seen or taken seriously, regardless of what patriarchal forces try to make both women and men believe. It is actually more powerful to remain true to ones self and reject this idea that power comes from the hardening of our humanity. Because at the end of the day softness is a sort of humility, a gentle understanding and kindness. Something that is for both women and men"

Isabella's floral scapes symbolise leaning into our softness and taking the trajectory that reflects our true selves. She is showing us that softness can be a force of rebellion, strength and courage. While also also creating a much more beautiful and interesting environment to be in.
